About

I was born in Cincinnati, OH in the early 80′s. As I grew, my parents fed me a steady diet of media from before my time, determined that I should be able to laugh at the same pop culture references they did. From Dr. Demento collections on LP, I learned that dead puppies aren’t much fun. From Dr. Strangelove, I learned how to stop worrying and love the bomb. From Night of the Lepis I learned that normal rabbits in tiny sets really don’t look like giant rabbits. You get the idea.

Creating art, on and off the computer, was never really something I chose to do. I’ve done it in one way or another my entire life. I think I’m supposed to use some trite Picasso quote here, but I’ll skip that. When I was younger, I copied images from Marvel Masterpieces cards and trades. After I got older and started playing D&D, I illustrated my character, other characters, and sometimes villains and dramatic moments. My lecture notes from undergrad are mostly drawings with the occasional note thrown in.

Now that I’m out in the world, done with school, I’m working out exactly how I want to practice art separately from my job. I’d love to do it for my job but the opportunity has yet to present itself. Maybe one of these game ideas would go well on XBLA or the iPhone. Maybe I should try my hand at a webcomic, or that graphic novel I’ve been kicking around for 2 years. Hmm… where did I leave my sketchbook?
